Enois Malbranche was shot in the face by three female passengers early morning Thursday, August 7, 2008. The passengers robbed him and then shot him, the bullet striking the top of his left cheekbone, just under his left eye. The bullet traveled diagonally, exiting through his right eye socket. Enois, just 62 years old, has been told he will need his right eye removed. Enois suffers this devastating and horrific loss while grieving for his beloved wife of over 20 years, who passed away after a battle with cancer, two months prior to the shooting.
Shajedur Rahman remains in a coma from an assault on October 2, 2005.
Mamnun Ul Haq was stabbed with a ten inch hunting knife by a rider.
Mohammad Al-Amin was asked only a single question: "Are you a Muslim," before being sucker-punched by a passerby.
Neeru Singh was racially harassed and choked by a female rider through the partition window as she tried to pull over in rush-hour traffic.
